Recovery & Support for Ureteral Stricture
A ureteral stricture can sometimes return, or recur, after treatment. At NYU Langone, about 97 percent of people who are treated with robotic surgery to correct a ureteral stricture never have a recurrence.
NYU Langone physicians provide follow-up care after treatment for a ureteral stricture. This includes regularly scheduled appointments that include urine and imaging testing. This helps to ensure that a recurrence of the stricture does not occur.
Coordination of Care
If you are treated for a ureteral stricture at NYU Langone and live outside of the New York metro area, our physicians can coordinate a care plan with your local care team. Our doctors work in collaboration with your physician to ensure you receive the follow-up care you need to prevent another stricture.
