As a rheumatologist at NYU Langone, my philosophy is rooted in the belief that medicine is fundamentally about doing no harm and fostering a healing environment. I am passionate about my work because it allows me to engage deeply with the science of immunology and inflammation, and to make a meaningful impact on my patients' lives.

I specialize in managing a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, including lupus, osteoporosis, and arthritis. My long-standing relationships within the NYU Langone community and across various specialties enable me to offer comprehensive and coordinated care.

Throughout my career, I have focused on proactive healthcare engagement and patient education. I believe that effective patient care is a two-way street, requiring commitment from both the physician and the patient. I encourage my patients to maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and other wellness practices, as these are crucial components of managing rheumatologic conditions. My approach is characterized by humility, transparency, and a willingness to learn from my patients, fostering trust and mutual respect.

My journey into medicine was inspired by my father, who was also a physician. From a young age, I knew that medicine was my calling. The field of rheumatology, with its focus on the immune system and its impact on women of childbearing age, felt like a natural fit for me. My educational background and my experiences during the pandemic, particularly the research we published, have further solidified my commitment to advancing patient care and medical knowledge.
