My interest in and passion for medicine stems from my childhood—I grew up with siblings who suffered from debilitating medical conditions. During my studies in medicine, nothing piqued my intellectual interest more than the neurosciences. I decided on a career as a neurointensivist after realizing how gratifying it is to help improve the lives of patients with life-threatening neurologic conditions.

At NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, I care for patients with severe neurologic conditions, such as brain hemorrhages, stroke, seizures, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injury. I also serve as medical director of the neuroscience intensive care unit.

Additionally, I am a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Neurocritical Care Society.
