About Me
As a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Child Study Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care to the youth and families of New York City. Building trust through honest, supportive conversations is central to my practice, ensuring that each patient feels heard and valued.
I specialize in treating patients with a broad range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral challenges, and trauma-related disorders. My collaborative approach involves working closely with children, teens, and their caregivers to create tailored treatment plans that address individual’s unique needs. This method fosters a supportive environment in which young people can thrive.
With extensive training from the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role. My background includes actively participating in national efforts to inform telemedicine legislation, focusing on improving access to care for children and adolescents. Additionally, I have contributed to developing a national curriculum on pediatric telepsychiatry, ensuring that future psychiatrists are well-prepared to deliver high-quality care through digital platforms.
I was born and raised in New York City, and I always knew I wanted to become a physician serving youth and families of this city. My educational journey began at Barnard College, where I majored in neuroscience and developed an interest in brain development and emotional wellbeing. This passion led me to medical school at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. My commitment to child and adolescent mental health was further solidified during my residency and fellowship at UPMC.
I am passionate about bridging clinical expertise, technology, and policy to expand access to mental health care for young people. It is a privilege to serve the community that raised me, and I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of my patients.
