My mother and father taught me the value of hard work and being charitable to others, which influenced my decision to become a doctor. My goal is to provide compassionate and supportive care to patients.

After I completed my medical training, I started a new practice with NYU Langone in southern Florida. Given the high percentage of older adults in this area, I saw the need for more at-home consultations and started a chronic care management program. This program supports people who are enrolled in Medicare and who have conditions such as kidney disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. A nurse and nurse practitioner regularly call patients at home to ensure they have the support they need when using prescribed treatments between visits with me.

I also started an obesity clinic. As a member of the Obesity Medicine Association, I believe in the four tenets of weight loss: prescribing medications, offering psychological support, improving exercise ability, and providing nutritional counseling. A nutritionist, licensed social worker, and physical therapist are also part of the weight management team.

In addition, I am on NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Institutional Review Board. I have reviewed clinical studies on patients with kidney transplants and on medications to manage chronic kidney disease.

I have been quoted in media outlets that include SiriusXM Radio, local newspapers, and WPBF West Palm Beach, an ABC affiliate.
