Jason C. Hoffmann, MD

Growing up in a family of teachers and educators, I have a genuine passion for learning and teaching, a commitment to my community, and a desire to help people. I value the role that physicians play as teachers, whether to our patients, medical students, or colleagues. I decided to specialize in interventional radiology because it allows me to treat a variety of patients with a wide array of medical problems.

I work with patients to diagnose and treat complex conditions and provide care as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. I perform image-guided, minimally invasive procedures and specialize in kidney and liver tumor ablation, liver tumor embolization, inferior vena cava filter placement and removal, and embolization of noncancerous conditions.

Each person is unique, which is why I provide individualized treatments that suit each one’s needs. I work with patients to make sure they have a solid understanding of their disease. Providing the appropriate information allows patients to make optimal decisions and feel empowered and engaged in their care.

Among my many recognitions, I am proud to have been twice awarded the Department of Radiology Attending of the Year by the diagnostic radiology residents. As the director of the diagnostic radiology residency training program, I am committed to serving as a role model and fostering valuable clinical interactions.

I conduct research on improving patient outcomes relating to a variety of conditions, and have presented findings at many major national and international diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology society meetings.
