In addition to my interest in science, anatomy, and physiology, I’ve always been fascinated by figuring out how things work, whether it was a sewing machine, airplane, or the human body. Going into medicine and then specializing in orthopedics felt like a natural choice.

As an orthopedic surgeon, I use my understanding of how things work to put them back together. I particularly love treating children who have a wide range of conditions and injuries and seeing them get better and achieve their full potential.

At NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital, NYU Langone Orthopedic Surgery—Rutherford Place, and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital—34th Street, I treat patients with scoliosis, limb abnormalities, fractures, Blount disease, and clubfoot. I enjoy getting to know each of my patients and, in certain situations, becoming a familiar, friendly face to children as they grow up. It’s important that patients and their families see me as someone accessible, who is connected with them at every step of their journey. Whether I am treating someone for broken bones or scoliosis, I want them to feel like they are having the best possible experience.

My research is focused on improving how we manage fractures in urgent care settings and in the emergency department, as well as identifying the challenges children and families may face with care, transportation, and returning to school after an injury or surgery.
