About Me
As a pediatric neuropsychologist at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to understanding and supporting the developmental, educational, and behavioral trajectories of children, adolescents, and young adults. My passion for child development drives my commitment to providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations that address a wide range of challenges, including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), language disorders, movement and coordination disorders, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. I believe in a holistic approach, beginning with an in-depth intake visit to gather essential background information and coordinate with other providers and schools to ensure a thorough assessment.
My expertise lies in conducting detailed evaluations that encompass intellectual functioning, academic achievement, attention, executive functioning, language development, visual processing, motor control, social perception, and emotional functioning. These evaluations culminate in integrative feedback sessions and detailed reports, which serve as invaluable roadmaps and advocacy tools for families. I also actively participate in Committee on Special Education meetings and impartial hearings to ensure that each child's educational needs are met.
With over a decade of experience at the Child Study Center, I have been involved in developing treatments and promoting executive function skills in a supportive manner. I coordinate educational outreach activities for the Long Island office, including guest speakers and program visits, to foster community engagement and awareness.
My dedication to science and clinical practice is reflected in my role as a co-investigator on National Institute of Mental Health studies, evaluating non-pharmacological interventions for ADHD and conducting longitudinal research on preschoolers with ADHD. I have authored or co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and professional publications, and I actively contribute to the scientific community through presentations at national and international conferences and reviews for scientific journals. Additionally, I serve on the Professional Advisory Board for CHADD, the nation’s largest support organization for individuals with ADHD.
My journey into pediatric neuropsychology was inspired by a lifelong fascination with child development and the factors that influence educational and behavioral outcomes. I pursued my PhD with the goal of making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families. At NYU Langone, I am proud to be part of a diverse team dedicated to providing coordinated and comprehensive care.
