About Me
As the director of the NYU Langone Lung Cancer Biomarker Program, I am dedicated to advancing the early detection of lung cancer through innovative research and compassionate care. My role allows me to combine my passion for scientific discovery with my commitment to improving patient outcomes, particularly for those at high risk for lung cancer.
I specialize in lung cancer, focusing on identifying and validating biomarkers that can detect the disease at its earliest stages. With extensive experience in bronchoscopy and a deep interest in the lung microbiome, I bring a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and managing lung conditions. My years of specialized training and practice have equipped me with the expertise necessary to provide top-tier care for my patients.
Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in both clinical and research settings. As an attending physician on the ICU Service and Pulmonary Consult Service at the NYU Langone Hospital—Manhattan, the Bellevue Hospital Chest and Consult services, and VA Hospital Manhattan campus, I have gained invaluable experience in managing complex pulmonary cases. My work is driven by a proactive approach to healthcare, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective interventions.
My journey into medicine was inspired by a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by lung diseases. My educational background and training have provided me with a solid foundation in pulmonary medicine, and my ongoing research continues to fuel my dedication to this field.
