I have a background in both pediatrics and intensive care medicine, and my passion lies in providing compassionate and expert care to critically ill children. I chose to pursue a career in pediatric critical care medicine because of a deep-seated commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of such children and their families. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of cases, including respiratory and heart failure, severe infections, acute trauma, and chronic illness.

In the intensive care unit (ICU), I focus not only on advanced medical interventions but also on ensuring that families are supported and informed every step of the way. I believe in a holistic approach to care, integrating the latest advancements in medicine with a deep respect for each child’s unique needs and circumstances.

Outside of the ICU, I helped develop Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital’s pediatric and neonatal transport team. The transport team goes out to outlying hospitals that don’t have the capability of caring for ill children and brings them to definitive care here at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital. The pediatric transport team plays a crucial role as the first point of contact between our hospital and our patients and families, not only providing clinical care but also fostering a supportive, informative, and compassionate environment that can positively influence the overall experience for both the child and their family.

I’m continually inspired by the resilience of my young patients and their families. Witnessing their courage facing severe health challenges inspired me to specialize in this demanding yet profoundly rewarding field. I strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve, embracing the opportunity to turn complex situations into hopeful outcomes.
