As a craniofacial orthodontist at NYU Langone Plastic Surgery Associates—41st Street, I specialize in providing orthodontic care to people born with facial differences that may require reconstructive surgery. This includes patients who have cleft lip and cleft palate, or other craniofacial conditions affecting the teeth, jaws, and face. I have a special interest in orthodontic treatments for those who need jaw surgery to enhance their facial harmony and function.

I also enjoy attending to the general orthodontic needs of a wide range of patients. Whether it’s children, teenagers, or adults, I provide comprehensive orthodontic treatment tailored to each patient’s unique requirements and orthodontic concerns. I am dedicated to offering personalized care to people at all stages of life.

We’re dedicated to providing innovative solutions tailored to individual needs and comprehensive orthodontic care. Our commitment extends beyond just treatment. We are dedicated to creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and cared for throughout their journey toward a healthier and brighter smile.

My uncle, an orthodontist, sparked my interest in dentistry. Watching him change people’s lives by improving their smiles was inspiring. I’ve always loved being creative and working with my hands. Orthodontics, with its mix of science and art, felt like the perfect fit. When I’m not caring for patients, I am involved with research to develop devices and novel approaches to support the facial structures of infants born with cleft lip and cleft palate before primary reconstructive surgery.

My treatment philosophy centers on providing care that acknowledges each patient’s distinct surgical history and developmental stage. I advocate for tailoring orthodontic treatments to match individual growth stages, starting from infancy through adulthood. This personalized approach ensures that patients receive the most effective and suitable care at every step of their orthodontic treatment.

Research Summary

My research is focused on the treatment outcomes in patients with orofacial clefts and craniofacial syndrome. One particular area of interest is long-term outcomes on pre-surgical infant orthopedics, particularly nasoalveolar molding (NAM) in patients with orofacial clefts. In recent years, my areas of interest have included studying the outcomes of different orthognathic surgeries and their long-term stability, as well as in-office orthognathic surgical planning and 3D splint printing.
