Research Summary

I am a Surgeon-Scientist dedicated to leveraging clinical data and modern computational approaches to improve patient care and outcomes.

I have used databases of varying sizes, from institutional based cohorts to national based registries, to provide insights on advancing urologic care including the first study to describe conditional risk of relapse in patients on active surveillance and among the largest studies to date evaluating the association between vasectomy and prostate cancer.

In recent years, I have become excited about the potential for machine learning methods to revolutionize healthcare. I am using these methods to develop predictive models that can be used as clinical-decision support tools to personalize care, improve health outcomes, and optimize resource-utilization.
