As the section chief for pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at NYU Langone’s Tisch Hospital, I am dedicated to fostering a holistic approach to patient care. My role allows me to blend clinical excellence with compassionate care, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and the highest quality of treatment.

I specialize in managing complex pulmonary conditions, including pulmonary embolism, and have extensive experience in critical care and sleep medicine. With over 20 years of experience in the field, I have honed my skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's unique needs. My credentials include serving as the director of the Tisch Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and the medical director of the 15th floor of Tisch Hospital/Kimmel Pavilion. Additionally, I am a past president of the New York State Thoracic Society, which underscores my commitment to advancing pulmonary health.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and care processes. My research interests focus on pulmonary embolism, and I am dedicated to exploring innovative treatments and interventions that can significantly improve patient health and quality of life.

My journey into medicine was inspired by a deep-seated interest in the complexities of the human body and a commitment to making a positive impact on people's lives. I pursued my medical education with a focus on pulmonary and critical care medicine, driven by a fascination with respiratory health and the critical nature of intensive care. As part of the NYU Langone system, I collaborate with an expert team, ensuring that my patients benefit from coordinated care. My goal is to empower my patients through education and support, helping them achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
