Our primary care locations have received recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance as Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH). This care model focuses on putting the patients first. It helps create better relationships between patients and their healthcare teams.
Through our adult medicine program, we provide primary healthcare as well as specialized care for people seeking testing and treatment for infectious diseases, including HIV, and medical treatment for substance use. We can connect our patients with nutrition counseling as well as doctors from more than 25 medical and surgical specialties.
As part of NYU Langone’s PrEP Program for HIV Prevention, we offer pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to people who do not have HIV but are at high risk of contracting the virus through sex or intravenous drug use. PrEP blocks the virus that causes HIV and is 99 percent effective at preventing infection when taken regularly. The medication is available free or at low cost to anyone, regardless of insurance or immigration status. To learn more or make an appointment, please call 718-431-2667. PrEP is also available through NYU Langone’s Virtual Urgent Care.
