Multiple Sclerosis in Children

Multiple sclerosis, or MS, is a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system. It usually begins to affect people in their 20s and 30s, but MS can also occur in children and teenagers. Specialists at the Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis Center, part of Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, offer diagnosis, specialized treatment, counseling, and education to children and teens living with MS. Our specialists are experts in the field and leaders in nationwide research to improve the management of MS symptoms in children.

Our Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis Center team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, and psychologists. These experts work together to provide the highest level of care to children with MS and their families.

Our clinicians also treat adults with multiple sclerosis at NYU Langone’s Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center.
