As an NYU Langone optometrist, I provide comprehensive ophthalmic care. This includes prescribing visual corrections and managing acute and chronic conditions such as conjunctivitis, dry eyes, diabetic and hypertensive eye disease, medication-induced ocular toxicities, glaucoma, cataracts, and age-related macular degeneration.

I was introduced to vision care as a young child who needed glasses herself. I didn’t consider it as a career until after graduating with a degree in biochemistry and working in research and development at a pharmaceutical company. During those years I realized I wanted a career that was more involved in the direct care of others.

I chose to pursue a degree in optometry when I realized how much a simple service, providing good vision with a pair of glasses, can profoundly affect someone’s life. I enjoy using my training to listen to and understand the unique visual needs of each of my patients and to recommend individualized treatments.

I use advanced equipment and technology to evaluate each of my patients. I am committed to educating patients about their conditions and taking the time to explain the various treatment options available to them. I want my patients to feel comfortable and confident about the care they receive from me.

I appreciate being an integral part of each patient’s healthcare team while working alongside a large network of specialists. I especially enjoy getting to know my patients and building relationships over the years as I provide care for them.
