About Me
As a licensed clinical social worker at NYU Langone, I am dedicated to helping individuals lead lives that are both satisfying and fulfilling. My approach to care is rooted in the belief that understanding one’s history and its influence on how we think and feel about ourselves in relationships can be deeply empowering. Creating a safe, non-judgmental space is the first step in helping individuals open up about the issues in their lives that may cause anxiety, shame, or self-doubt.
I specialize in attachment and psychodynamic theory, integrating dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed skills to help patients manage overwhelming emotions. Over the years, I have honed my skills in these areas to assist patients in developing a more cohesive narrative about their lives, which in turn informs their treatment. My clinical work at the faculty group practice includes providing individual therapy and group therapy. In addition, I also provide supervision to both psychiatry residents and social work staff.
I completed my training and spent most of my professional career in Boston, MA, learning from incredible mentors and teachers. Returning to New York, my native home, and joining the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine has been a thrilling experience. I am proud to be part of such a vibrant psychiatric community, working alongside social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Having a collaborative team to consult with allows me to provide the best possible care to my patients.
