If you are a dancer dealing with chronic pain or an acute injury, the physicians at the Dance Clinic at NYU Langone’s Harkness Center for Dance Injuries can provide the evaluation, imaging, diagnosis, and treatment plan you need to help you heal.

The Dance Clinic is staffed by physicians who specialize in sports medicine and have extensive experience in managing dance-related injuries. Our athletic trainers and physical therapists can teach you exercises that can help with recovery, and we also provide physical therapy referrals.

Dancer Practices in Dance Clinic with Specialist

We manage all dance-related injuries, including, stress fractures, tendinitis, ankle sprains, knee sprains, meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, spondylolysis, and spondylolisthesis.

Make an Appointment

The clinic is open Monday and Friday. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 212-598-6054. For dancers with health insurance, the cost of the visit is billed directly to your plan. Financial assistance is available for uninsured dancers, including international students. No professional dancer or preprofessional dance student is turned away for financial reasons.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, such as a bone fracture, please visit an emergency room or an urgent care facility, such as the Samuels Orthopedic Immediate Care Center at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital.
