Application Requirements

Placement in one of our training programs is limited to certain disciplines, units, and times of the year. Please contact us to find out about available applications for fieldwork, practicum, or internships in your discipline for a particular semester. You must be enrolled in a clinical degree program at an affiliated school for the duration of the placement in order to be eligible.

You must also confirm that there is a current clinical affiliation agreement on file between your school and NYU Langone Health. If your school needs an affiliation agreement, please email us and provide your advisor’s email address.

After you have confirmed that we are accepting applications for a particular discipline and date range, please complete the application. Child life applicants must also complete the ACLP Common Application. Please submit your application at least three months prior to your desired start date. Child life applicants should follow posted application deadlines from the ACLP.

After we receive a fully executed clinical affiliation agreement, your completed application, and resume, we prescreen applications. If placement opportunities exist in your discipline and on the unit you requested, we review your application and determine if you will be invited to interview. We will inform you as soon as possible if there is no availability for your discipline or if your application is not selected for interview.

Selection is highly competitive, and only a limited number of positions are available. Application does not guarantee placement. We advise all interested students to apply to other institutions as well as NYU Langone Health.
