Family Partnership Programs

Partnering with families is an essential part of our mission at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone. The input and feedback we receive from parents, family members, and patients goes directly into creating our child- and family-centered programs and services. Family Partnership Programs are made possible through the expertise and resources of our Sala Institute for Child and Family Centered Care.

Feedback from parents, family members, and patients helps us create child- and family-centered programs and services.

Our Sala Family Advisory Council partners with us on programs and resources to provide the perspective of what it’s like to be the parent of a child treated at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital. Our Sala Youth Advisory Council is made up of teenagers who help us understand a patient’s point of view. We also have a Sala Patient and Family Faculty Program, where parents share their stories with our staff so we can better understand what it’s like to be a family receiving care.

Families teach us how we can make the experience easier for everyone. They give us the insight that can only come from the perspective of children who have gone through treatment, and the parents who have sat at their bedsides. We value your perspective and your feedback.
