At NYU Langone Palliative Medicine Associates—Mineola, we provide specialized care for people who have cancer or advanced disease that affects the heart, kidneys, or lungs. Our team of doctors, nurses, and social workers, who all have advanced training in palliative medicine, collaborates with your primary physican and other specialists as needed to understand your goals for care and treatment.

We collaborate with your oncologist to provide compassionate, goal-oriented care and can assist with treatment decisions.
If you have advanced lung disease such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease—also known as COPD—pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, or sarcoidosis, our team can provide relief from the physical and emotional effects. We consult with your pulmonologist to create a tailored approach to treat your symptoms including anxiety, appetite loss, fatigue, insomnia, shortness of breath, and weight loss.
