At NYU Langone, our team of reproductive endocrinologists and other fertility specialists, nurses, psychologists, and wellness experts works with women and partners to identify the cause or causes of infertility. Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive and carry a pregnancy to completion after one year of trying, or after six months for women over age 35.
Our fertility experts, including doctors at NYU Langone’s Fertility Center and NYU Langone Reproductive Specialists of New York are leaders in the use of in vitro fertilization (IVF) to help women achieve pregnancy. We use state-of-the-art preimplantation genetic testing techniques, that were pioneered at NYU Langone.
This approach can improve pregnancy rates while reducing the number of miscarriages and multiple pregnancies by transferring only healthy embryos—most often, just one at a time—during an IVF treatment cycle. We also perform egg freezing, also known as oocyte cryopreservation, a process that allows eggs to be stored until a woman is ready to conceive.
Our doctors understand that treatments for infertility may cause stress for women and partners and offer support services throughout the process.
Our doctors provide a range of options when treating women with infertility, including ovulation induction, surgical procedures, IVF, and treatments using donated eggs and sperm.
