Adult Rehabilitation Services
After an illness or injury, you may need help building up your physical strength, performing everyday tasks, or readjusting to your usual routine. You might also need help processing the emotional aspects of your experience, such as managing stress or learning to live with a complex medical condition or new disability.
Our rehabilitation experts help you regain skills, maximize your mobility, and manage your life as you recover. Your physiatrist, a doctor who specializes in rehabilitation medicine, works closely with your care team to develop a treatment plan specific to your needs and goals. Recommended therapies and supportive services may include the following:
- occupational therapy
- physical therapy
- psychology services
- social work services
- speech–language pathology and swallowing therapy
- vocational rehabilitation
We also have therapies specific to men’s health and women’s health rehabilitation.
Many therapies begin during a hospital stay and continue at one of our conveniently located outpatient sites. Our physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech–language pathologists, psychologists, social workers, vocational counselors, horticultural therapists, and experts in therapeutic recreation and music and art therapies work together to help you achieve your goals.
